This was my team's project for Forge during the 2025 spring semester. The semester's theme was "healthcare in the workplace" and we made Back Buddy to help users maintain/adjust to a healthy seating posture. To do this, we designed a portable vest that could fit onto any chair. Within that vest are four inflatable air cells with pressure sensors that will individually inflate/deflate to adjust to how the user sat against them. To inflate, a pump was used and connected to an Arduino with a relay module to control power to it. To power everything, we used a rechargable 12 volt DC battery with a buck converter to step down the voltage. At the end of the semester, we presented our project at the Forge 2025 Spring Showcase.
