This project is for Northeastern BAJA SAE. This project is specifically designed to accurately measure and record acceleration of our competition car using laser sensors. Our old timing gates involved two metal plates that would be spread out from each other over the recorded distance and the acceleration of our car would be recorded once the car ran over the last metal plate. This new one is much simpler with laser sensors and an Arduino. This eliminates any bouncing signals, manual timing, and a lot of wires.
